seeeenyah appreciation dinner 2012, whatsuppp!
it’s actually crazy how things have changed so much in one year.
i think about last year’s SAD…what i was feeling, who i was friends with, what i was struggling with…and i look back at this year.
i think this year had a lot more struggles, hurdles, obstacles and tears, but it also feels like this year had a lot more triumphs, victories, and blessings as well.
anyway. my favorite part of the senior appreciation dinner…christmas dinner…frosh/soph dinner isn’t the games. or the worship. or the food. it’s not getting ready and glamming up with people beforehand, or scrambling to make sure you get pictures with everyone at the end. although all of those parts are grreat :)
my favorite part of the dinner is the very beginning and the very end. the VERY beginning and the VERY end. its when there are people there early to set up and to decorate. when everyone is working together to set up tables and decorations and to put chairs away or to take them out. and the same thing at the end. when the dinner is all over and everyone is working together to clean up, throw things away, and put everything back in it’s place. it’s something so simple that is so pleasing to me—to see our fellowship work and function together as a body of Christ. in doing something so simple as throwing out trash, or putting away tables. sometimes, i think my fellowship looks its’ most fabulous when it’s doing the simplest mundane things.
cleaning up. its my favorite part :)
